Blue Honey : A Guide To Psychonautica

Welcome to Psychonautica

When you hear the word psychonaut, what comes to mind?
The use of entheogen substances, psychedelics, to induce into an altered state of consciousness for spiritual growth and exploration of the human existence. The term psychedelics means "mind-manifesting". Psych: mind, soul, internal and  nautical: navigator or sailor. Captain of my own sailing soul, I am a psychonaut. A sailing soul being navigated under psilocybin, magic mushrooms.
While my walls seemed to be melting, carpeting growing from under me, and strange hieroglyphics slowly scrolled, my body and mind unified like never before. The dark pillows on my couch were breathing, moving inward and outward, resembling the body of a sleeping cat or dog. The body high, a mixture of gentle touch and a great nap. The relaxed feeling may very well take you into a trance, promoting a mystical experience.
The simple touch of cotton from my sweatpants brought back childhood memories of my favorite teddy bear, something I haven't thought about in years. Symmetrical texture repetitions covered my entire environment, then soon began moving towards my body. I identified movement on my hands and arms, grid like patterns were now part of my skin. My dancing pores became so fascinating that I grew a smile in excitement.
Shadows cast by interior objects in the room began to morph and shift in colors. With my environment taken over by many distortions, nothing compares to when I blinked. You expect darkness and comfort when you close your eyes. Flashing lights beamed under my closed lids. Visual concepts inspired by goldenrods and the deserts of Egypt evolved from my third eye, which was now open. Geometric patterns reminiscent of vlisco fabrics in bold cerulean and cyan.
Overwhelmed by my own visual art, I started crying uncontrollably.
I could now feel my own energy, vibrations similar to waves in an ocean.
My stretched mind raced with emotions, filling up with burning questions.
How is this an hallucination? Is this all coming from inside my head?
What is it exactly that I am seeing? Positive thinking means everything.
Not once did I think, " I have gone crazy". I came into the experience with a goal, and that was to return brand new. Accomplished. Brand spankin'new!
I started to think about everyone that I love, how I wished they could experience this. My tears and clogged up nose caused me to take deep breaths. Breathing is the greatest source. Strong breaths and positive thoughts equal the opening of your mystical journey. I noticed that my visuals changed with every new thought in my mind.
